Cammie Bagley, a Piedmont College junior mass communications major from Homer, received one of five 2016 Lanier E. “Lanny” Finch scholarship from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.

The scholarship of $1,500 was awarded Feb. 19 during GAB’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the University of Georgia Richard B. Russell Special Collections Library. Bagley is the third recipient from Piedmont College in five years. Previous winners include Jessie Owensby in 2014 and Sarah Hill in 2012.

The Lanier E. “Lanny” Finch scholarship is applicable to Georgia residents and full-time students at an accredited college or university. Students must be rising juniors or seniors pursuing degrees in some aspect of the broadcasting industry. Selection is based on scholastic records, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
