Buice chosen to help lead CPA’s Leadership Academy

Leslie Buice of Gibson Dental Designs Inc. in Gainesville has been named Vice Chair of the 2012 Leadership Academy Program by the Georgia Society of CPAs. 

 “The GSCPA Leadership Academy Program offers a life-changing experience to participants,” says Colin Blalock, chairman of the society. 

The GSCPA Leadership Academy begins in the fall. The society is accepting nominations for the next round of emerging leaders. As vice chair, Buice will help plan and execute sessions covering self-assessment, facilitating skills to achieve organizational consensus, negotiating and persuading, teamwork, problem solving and team building.

Buice is a native of Cumming who now lives in Gainesville. She is secretary of the administrative board at Cumming First United Methodist.

 “I consider my appointment as Vice Chair of GSCPA Leadership Academy a tremendous honor,” she said in a news release. “I am both humbled and excited to serve the program in this capacity. Serving as Vice Chairman will allow me the opportunity to give back to this tremendous program that advanced my life in so many ways.”
