Lumite Inc. is expanding by more than 100,000 square feet in Alto, allowing the company to consolidate its Baldwin converting facility. The manufacturer of monofilament and multifilament engineered fabrics for liquid filtration, erosion control, horticultural and recreational applications will boost its Alto operation to 350,000 square feet, provide a state-of-the-art warehouse and construct a new corporate office building. The company expects to complete the work in March.
