Brush fires spread down Martin Road in Flowery Branch

Firefighters responded to multiple brush fires on Martin Road Monday afternoon while winds blew heavily.

“Outside burning is not allowed at this time due to high winds,” Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zach Brackett wrote in an email.

The grass was scorched from Oakwood Baptist Church and continued down Martin Road for roughly half of a mile.

The fires were extinguished after 4:30 p.m. Monday. Nothing has been released on what possible caused the fires.
