DAWSONVILLE — An incident authorities are calling a murder-suicide left two people dead Wednesday at a home on Maple Hill Drive in downtown Dawsonville. “We had a disturbance call in about 1 p.m. and just a short time ago we determined we had two deceased persons in the residence,” said Johnny Holtzclaw, a spokesman for the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office. Though authorities initially described the incident only as a dispute, officials confirmed through social media that the deaths appear to be a murder-suicide, and officials are now saying the two people, identified as a man and a woman, were likely in a relationship.
