Authorities responding to a report of a possible hostage situation in downtown Dawsonville last week took two men into custody in connection with making false statements. Initially, all four of the individuals at the Sandberg Way home were detained for questioning Jan. 5, though only two were charged in the case. Adam Reeves, 40, and David William Hatcher II, 23, both of Dawsonville, were each charged with making false statements and writings, as well as concealment of facts.
