Blake and Emily Hembree

Emily Jane Conner and Blake Edward Hembree were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 2011, at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Barry and Bridget Conner of Gainesville. The groom is the son of John and Martha Hembree of Gainesville.The Rev. Dwayne Wellborn performed the ceremony. The Fiddleheads Band presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Danielle Wellborn of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Meridith Ussery of Cumming, Lisa McMahan of Gainesville, Anna Kathryn Ellzey of Gainesville, Emily Buffington of Woolworth Township, N.J., Tanna Burge of Bartram, Texas, Lauren Sims of Perry, Anna Entz of Kennesaw, and Sheena Thomas of Gainesville. The groom’s cousins Emily Durand and Adelyn Thomas of Cumming were the flower girls.

The groom’s brother Jameson Hembree of Gainesville was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s father John Hembree of Gainesville, groom’s cousins Matt Pugh and Justin Pugh both of Gainesville, groom’s friends Michael Barron and Jeff Mangum both of Gainesville, Joseph Anderson, Drew Papp and Cody Robinson all of Dahlonega. The groom’s cousin Thomas Durand of Cumming was the ring bearer. Ushers were Evan Martin and Wes Hall.

The wedding coordinator was Johynee McEver.

The bride carried a handkerchief belonging to Gwen McMillan in her bouquet.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at his aunt and uncle’s mountain home in Highlands, N.C., on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at The Barn at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, N.C., following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple reside in Gainesville.
