There is a passage on scripture in II Corinthians chapter 8 that contains two very powerful principles as it relates to poverty in this world. Both can be found in this simple yet profound sentence: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
