Army Pvt. Zachery Anderson has graduated from basic combat training and combat engineer training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
He graduated fifth in his company, Alpha 35th engineer batallion.

Anderson is the son of Robert and J. Lynn Anderson of Dahlonega and grandson of Ed and Bonnie Gabriel of Oakwood. He is a 2008 graduate of Maranatha Christian Academy in Oakwood.
