In honor of Memorial Day, Gainesville Newcomers club had Donna C. Rowe speak at its May luncheon. Rowe served as head nurse in a triage unit in Saigon from 1968-1969. She spoke about her experiences with such passion, helping people understand some of the exhaustion, pain and filth she endured for 369 days as well as the many lives saved.
