Lanier Charter Career Academy teacher Kim Nix was awarded the Outstanding Trade and Industrial Education Student Award on April 23 at Georgia State University. University faculty choose the winner based on academic achievement, teaching expertise, community service and a commitment to excellence. Kim has been in the cosmetology industry for more than 10 years and is in her second year of teaching at Lanier.
