Dr. and Mrs. Thomas William Stewart Jr. of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Katherine Anna Stewart to Mr. Nathan Charles Willis, son of Dr. and Mrs. Wesley Robert Willis of Adrian, Mich.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ms. Jane Williams Bowers and Mr. Robert Patten Williams, and the late Mrs. Rebecca and Mr. Tim Wise and Mr. Thomas William Stewart Sr.

She is a 1998 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2002 from Covenant College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She received a master's degree at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She is employed as a nurse practitioner in hematology and oncology at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Meachan and Mrs. Mildred Willis, and the late Mr. Benjamin and Mrs. Alma Stanislaw.

He is a 1991 graduate of Wheaton North High School in Wheaton, Ill. He graduated in 1995 from Taylor University with a bachelor's degree in business, information systems concentration. He is employed as a family investment officer by GenSpring Family Offices in Charlotte, N.C.

The couple plan to wed Nov. 12, 2011, at The Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, N.C.
