Richard and Ruth Pendergrass of Conyers announce the engagement of their daughter Kathryn Elizabeth Pendergrass to Jonathan David Eveleth, son of Michael and Suzanne Eveleth of Lillian, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sara W. Reed of Charleston, S.C., the late Robert J. Reed and the late Joseph C. and Virginia B. Pendergrass.

She is a 2002 graduate of Heritage High School in Conyers. She graduated in 2006 from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She is employed as a senior income tax accountant with Cbeyond Inc. in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mack and Patricia Eveleth of Hudson, Fla., and the late Jessie C. and Mary Louise Oseteck.

He is a 2001 graduate of Fairhope High School in Fairhope. He graduated in 2007 from Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a project manager with McKenney's Inc. in Atlanta.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 19, 2009, at The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, Ala.
