Roy and Shelby Loggins of Alto announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Heather Kirby to Jon Brinson Cotton, son of David and Robin Cotton of Gainesville. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Donald Kirby.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Hoyt and JoAnn Dodd of Alto and the late Grady "Fred" and Lounelle Kirby.

She is a 2005 graduate of Banks County High School in Homer. She graduated in 2007 from Lanier Technical College as a licensed practical nurse. She is attending North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega. She is employed as a nurse with Northeast Georgia Heart Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Larry Cotton, Barbara Cotton and Jacquelyn Jones, all of Gainesville and the late Cecil Jones.

He is a 2001 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed by King Green IPM in Gainesville and is the owner of Cotton Corporate services in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed March 19, 2011, at Westminster Church in Gainesville.
