Brenau University will hold a recital on Monday by renowned mezzo-soprano Kitt Reuter-Foss and baritone Jeffrey Morrissey.

While this will be Morrissey’s debut performance at Brenau, the evening marks Reuter-Foss’ return to Brenau after a popular performance in 2006.

The evenings’s lineup includes solos and duets in Italian, German, Russian and Polish, along with scenes from classic American theater such as "Okalhoma!," and "The King and I." Craig Keir, principal coach of the Atlanta Opera, will be accompanying the singers.

Reuter-Foss, a past winner of the Metropolitan Opera competition, has since returned to the company for performances of "La Traviata," "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Death in Venice," among others. She has also appeared in more than a dozen productions with the Atlanta Opera.

The recital will take place at 8 p.m. Monday at Pearce Auditorium on the Brenau University campus, 500 Washington St. S.E., Gainesville. Tickets are $5; students and faculty are free.
