Taste of North Hall allows patrons to sample foods and raise funds
Proceeds from May 7 event to benefit high school band

Local and chain restaurants in Gainesville will have out some of their dishes with samples, all while raising money for North Hall High School band.

The 10th annual Taste of North Hall will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the new gym at the high school, at 4885 Mount Vernon Road in Gainesville. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door.

Upon entering, participants may sample food from more than 30 restaurants. Some of the returning restaurants this year are Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Longstreet Café and Bruster’s Ice Cream. New additions include Dos Tierras in Murrayville, King’s Hawaiian Bread and Wrigley’s.

In addition, visitors may bid on items in a live and silent auction, participate in 50/50 raffles, win door prizes and hear live music. Items available the auctions include gift baskets, gift cards and services from area restaurants and businesses. Companies that submitted items or services are Slack Auto Parts, Starbucks, North Hall Tire and Wheel, Home Depot and North Hall Jewelry. Sports memorabilia, spa visits, boat rental and a stay at a condo in Destin, Fla., is also on the auction block.
