The second annual event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at 445 Martin Road.  And dogs will kick off their free festivities with a parade followed by more than 15 contests.

The pups will compete against each other in the categories of best costume; cutest/ugliest in large, medium and small size; and best trick. Owners will register their pets upon arrival and pay a small fee to compete.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Dawson County Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter.

Collaborating on the event are several Dawson County service clubs including the Lions Club, Rotary Club, Dawsonville civitan, Dawson County Woman’s club, Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club and The Dawsonville Humane Society.
