High school artists display skills in juried show at Piedmont College

Some of the most gifted high school art students will lay bare their best works at an annual juried show this week at Piedmont College in Demorest.

The show features artwork by students from Habersham Central, North Gwinnett, Parkview and Brookwood high schools. Their works include drawing, painting, ceramics, photography and mixed media.

A reception for the students will be from 5–7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14. Winners of Piedmont art scholarships will be announced today at the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art, at 567 Georgia St., Demorest.

Admission is free to the museum and event.
