Dancers strutting their best moves across the floor look to capture the crown of a new competition.

The inaugural Cross the Line Dance Competition will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at 610 Grove St., in Gainesville.

Among the competitors will be The Lil Bosses, The Black Diamonds and The Lady All-Stars dance teams.

Tickets to the event are $5 with children 5 and younger free.
