The past two weeks brought some truly unprecedented rain events to the Southeast. Stargazers will recall the total lunar eclipse, which in the Gainesville area became a nonevent on Sept. 27 because the sky was overcast. Drizzle turned into full-blown rain during the following days, and a week later it was still pouring in Hall and adjacent counties.
