Jayquan Smith tops 200 rushing yards for Cherokee Bluff in 41-12 region win

Jayquan Smith ran for 201 yards and scored on runs of 7 and 67 yards on Friday as Cherokee Bluff topped East Hall 41-12 in Flowery Branch. Harrison Carter had 11 carries and 75 yards for the Bears (3-5, 2-2 Region 7-3A).

Sam Stribling had a 24-yard interception return for a touchdown for Cherokee Bluff, while Tino Mukono returned a fumble 22 yards for another score. 

For the Vikings (1-7, 0-4), quarterback Clete Cooper completed 13 of 23 throws for 207 and a touchdown. Mon Tabor had eight carries for 75 yards and a score for East Hall. 

At wide receiver, DJ Grey had three catches for 125 yards. 

On Friday, Cherokee Bluff visits Greater Atlanta Christian, while East Hall next visits North Hall on Nov. 1.
