High school tennis: Flowery Branch girls sweep Gainesville

Olivia Nance won in straight sets for the Flowery Branch girls at No. 1 singles as it beat Gainesville 5-0 on Thursday. Also in singles, Sandra Hernandez and Julianna Velaj won for the Lady Falcons (4-1). Winning in doubles for Flowery Branch were teams of Madison Sedwick/Polina Chernikova and Traci Timmons/Faith Marx. 

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 3, GAINESVILLE 2: Gunnar Hetzel secured the win in three sets at No. 3 singles for the Falcons. Also winning in singles were Drayton Matus and Jack Thomas for Flowery Branch. 

In doubles, Caleb Anderson/Charlie Burns and Samuel Holt/Andrew Elliot won for the Red Elephants. 

BUFORD BOYS 5, CLARKE CENTRAL 0: Brady Todd, James Troutt and Nicolas Keller won in singles for the Wolves on Thursday. At doubles, Zac Harms/Grayson Gilbert and Dillon Dombrowski/Luke Clark won for Buford. 

BUFORD GIRLS 5, CLARKE CENTRAL 0: Alex Mann, Callie Perkins and Marigrace Crossett won in singles for the Lady Wolves on Thursday. Sydney Grothe and Taylor Ryczek won at No. 1 doubles, while Olivia Hundley and Kennedy Deloach won at No. 2 doubles.
