Griffin Neville scored 17 points and Bosko Norman added 16 to power the Bears to a 61-51 victory over Westminster on the road Friday evening — the team's first playoff win in program history.
"This is a reward for our kids for all the hard work they’ve put in," Cherokee Bluff coach Benjie Wood said. "We’ve faced some adversity this year with injuries and what not, but the kids just kept persevering. This is a reward for those kids."
Up next, Cherokee Bluff will take on the winner of Windsor Forest and Murray County next week.
