Gainesville's JD Brooks runs for four scores in 51-21 win against Apalachee

JD Brooks ran for four touchdowns as Gainesville rolled past Apalachee, 51-21, on Friday at City Park Stadium. 

Brooks scored his final touchdown on a 10-yard run early in the third quarter to go ahead 35-14. Gionni Williams ran it in from the 2 late in the third quarter for the Red Elephants (5-4, 3-1 Region 8-6A).

Brooks had a team-high 146 yards. 

Dez Brown ran it in from the 15 early in the fourth quarter and finished the game with two touchdowns and 78 yards. Walt Dixon was Gainesville’s leading receiver with 95 yards.  

With the win, Gainesville hosts Lanier on Friday at City Park Stadium.
