Jake Higginbotham was driving back home from Clemson University when the New York Mets drafted him Wednesday in the 27th round of the MLB Draft. Luckily for Tiger fans, the left-handed pitcher decided that his best bet for the future was to stay in South Carolina. Three area baseball standouts, all from Buford High, decided to focus on their college careers after being drafted on Day 3 of the draft.
