The University of Georgia was ranked first in polls released by Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Monday.

The Bulldogs (12-0) are off to the best start in school history and earned the top rankings for the first time since winning the 1990 College World Series.

Georgia leads the SEC in batting average, on-base percentage, hits, runs, RBIs, doubles and ERA.

Georgia Tech was also ranked in both polls, at sixth in the Collegiate Baseball poll and eighth in the NCBWA poll.
