The North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team defeated the University of Alabama-Huntsville 3-0 in their season opener on Thursday in Huntsville. Melanie Thompson netted the season’s first goal for the Saints off an assist by Julianna Luther with just 55 seconds remaining in the opening half. Caroline Wallace and Abby Trevino both scored unassisted goals in the second half for North Georgia.
