The Lakeview Academy Lions defeated St. Francis 27-7 Friday night at Jock Hornor Field.

The Lions’ defense forced four turnovers, returning two of them for touchdowns. Avonte Gober ran back a fumble recovery, and Brannon Browner took an interception to the house. Thaddeus Webb also had an interception on defense.

Webb and Gober each scored a rushing touchdown for the Lions on offense as Lakeview Academy earned their first victory of the season.

Lakeview Academy (1-1) hosts Towns County 7:30 p.m. next Friday night.
