The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Hall County Chief Assistant Public Defender and Gainesville resident Nicki Vaughan for her leadership as chair of the Child Protection & Advocacy Section of the State Bar, which was recently recognized with a Good Apple Award from the Georgia Appleseed Center for Law and Justice.
The section has been under Ms. Vaughan’s leadership since its inception, and this honor, in part, recognizes her three decades of work as a tireless champion for at-risk children and youth in Georgia’s juvenile and family court systems. Ms. Vaughan, who launched the state’s first Court Appointed Special Advocate program, is also a valued member of the State Bar’s Executive Committee and Board of Governors.
We salute the Georgia Appleseed Center for Law and Justice for recognizing Nicki and our colleagues in the Child Protection & Advocacy Section for their exemplary leadership and many contributions in service to the public, the legal profession and the justice system of our state.
President, State Bar of Georgia
