A lane closure set to begin overnight Thursday, Nov. 14, as part of the Browns Bridge Road replacement project has been rescheduled to begin 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, and end 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The closure will allow workers to pour a concrete footer to support the new bridge.
Otherwise, single-lane closures are still planned for 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 15, on Browns Bridge Road/Ga. 369 to allow for the unloading of five steel beams, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Five more bridge beams are scheduled to arrive next week, with a daily lane closure set for 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 18-22.
The $27 million bridge replacement over Lake Lanier at the Hall-Forsyth County line is set for completion in April 2020.
