Spout Springs Road single-lane closures may now take place Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 6-7, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The work in Flowery Branch had been planned Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 4-5.
The time frame for the possible closures is still the same — between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. both days. The closures would take place on the stretch of Spout Springs running under I-985, the DOT said.
The DOT announced earlier this year additional cameras and information systems would be installed at various locations along I-985 in Gwinnett and Hall counties as part of the DOT’s 511 Navigator, a real-time traffic service.
The $1.5 million project will provide Highway Emergency Response Operators, or HERO, and Coordinated Highway Assistance & Maintenance Program operators real-time information on traffic flow.
The project is set to be finished by June 30.
