Daytime single-lane closures are planned Thursday-Friday, Dec. 19-20, on Spout Springs Road at Interstate 985 as part of improvements to Georgia Department of Transportation’s 511 Navigator, a real-time traffic service.
Closures are scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each day between Hog Mountain Road and Thurmon Tanner Parkway.
Crews will be locating utilities under the road, according to the DOT.
The work is part of a larger effort to add cameras and information systems along I-985 in Hall and Gwinnett counties.
The $1.5 million project will provide Highway Emergency Response Operators, or HERO, and Coordinated Highway Assistance & Maintenance Program operators real-time information on traffic flow.
The project is set to be finished by June 30.
