Editor’s Note: Despite being included in this list previously, Avocados on the downtown Gainesville square is not open on Thanksgiving.

While many people look forward to a huge homecooked meal of turkey and all of the trimmings, some choose to forgo the cooking and baking as well as the preparations and cleanup.
