Arts lovers gathered Saturday night to support the arts at the annual Black and White Ball fundraiser for the Arts Council at the Smithgall Arts Center in Gainesville. Entertainment for the event was provided by the band Grains of Sand. Proceeds from the event will help support programs of the Arts Council, including the jazz series, summer events, arts in schools, puppet shows and more.
