Oakwood has rolled out a proposed 2020 budget that keeps city services the same, with no additional staff and property tax increase planned.
A $697,000 capital improvements program is proposed, including City Hall improvements and City Park “water features and improvements.”
The city is considering replacing its community swimming pool with a splash pad, or recreation area featuring water spraying from a deck into the air. The city is looking at something similar to the Sprayground at Laurel Park at 3100 Cleveland Highway in North Hall.
Final adoption of the budget is set for Nov. 11. The new budget year will begin Jan. 1.
