Tanger Outlets in Commerce has awarded a $300 grant to Sugar Hill Elementary School in Hall County for the 2018-19 school year.
Meagan Williams, a teacher at the school, wrote and submitted the grant application described as “STEMtastic Adventures!” which requested $300 to help her to incorporate various science, technology, engineering and math activities that the kids can take part in throughout the day and interactive education kits for the students.
In keeping with Tanger Outlets’ mission to support the future of our children, the TangerKIDS Grants program is designed to award grant money to local schools in the communities where Tanger Outlet Centers are located.
Other local schools receiving TangerKIDS Grants this year include Banks County Elementary in Banks County and Commerce High School, Maysville Elementary and East Jackson Elementary in Jackson County.
