Can you find out more about the Charter Communications Internet outage that happened Aug. 23?

Many Charter users in Hall County and across other rural states experienced an interruption in their Internet on Aug. 23.

It’s still unclear what caused the outage.

Patti Michel, director of regional communications in the South, provided a statement from the company: “Charter technical teams continue to investigate the cause of an Internet outage that was scattered across portions of Charter’s service area Saturday evening.

Internet service was restored shortly after midnight (central time).”

She said they are still “monitoring the network closely and continuing to investigate the cause of the issue.”
