The former Lisa Clark, who made headlines when she had a child by a 15-year-old husband 22 years her junior, has reached a new agreement on visitation with the child, an attorney said Wednesday.
Lisa Clark Gonzalez and her husband, Adrian Gonzalez, sought unsupervised visitation with their 3-year-old son, Skye Cobain Gonzalez, their attorney Kim Dymecki confirmed Wednesday.
A court hearing was held Tuesday in Douglas County Superior Court.
The child was born in 2006 while Lisa Clark Gonzalez was serving a jail sentence for statutory rape stemming from a Hall County case.
Lisa Clark Gonzalez, then 37, married Adrian Gonzalez when he was 15 and was later prosecuted for having sex with him.
The child was placed in the custody of Lisa Clark Gonzalez’ former co-worker, Angela Perkins.
Reached Wednesday, Perkins, who retains custody of the child, said she could not comment on the confidential settlement.
Dymecki said the motion to modify the terms of visitation had been "resolved by agreement of the parties."
Lisa and Adrian Gonzalez made the rounds of national television talk shows professing their love after her release from prison in February 2008. She served two years for helping Gonzalez escape from a Douglas County group home after serving nine months on the Hall County statutory rape charge.
Lawmakers in 2006 passed legislation that permits 16- and 17-year-olds to wed only with the approval of a parent or guardian and a probate judge.
The legislation closed a loophole in state law that allowed couples of any age to get married without parental consent in the case of a pregnancy.
Lisa Clark Gonzalez, under the terms of her probation on the statutory rape case, is banned from living in Hall or Dawson counties.
