1 injured in early Saturday motorcycle crash in Gainesville

One man was injured in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in Gainesville.

The crash occurred about 1:30 a.m. at the curve where E.E. Butler Parkway becomes Green Street at Academy Street as it exits downtown. 

A Gainesville firefighter on the scene said the man failed to negotiate the curve and crashed into the bank parking lot next to The Times’ building parking lot.

The man was loaded into an ambulance for transport to the hospital.

The extent of the man’s injuries was unknown.
