Holly Springs Baptist Church in Clermont celebrated "old-fashioned day" on Nov. 21. Congregants wore their overalls and old-timey dresses to church and had lunch on the grounds. People arrived to the church service in horse-drawn wagons and antique tractors.

Alex Wayne of Flowery Branch, partner with Wayne Trading Co. and Radial Property Group, has been named to the 2011 Board of Trustees for Leadership Georgia.

Wayne serves locally on the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Health Partners board as well as the Vision 2030 board. Wayne, and his wife, Shannan, are 2008 graduates of Leadership Georgia and served as program chairmen in 2009.

Leadership Georgia is one of the nation's oldest leadership training programs for young business, civic and community leaders with the desire and potential to work together for a better Georgia.

Its primary purpose is to identify, train and inspire a network of emerging young leaders. Leadership Georgia visits five communities in an effort to learn more about important issues affecting the state.
