Tony and Beth Lawrence of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Anna Elizabeth Lawrence to Robert Matthew Jones, son of Diane Moller and Michael Jones, both of Dallas, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Josephine Cosper of Gainesville, the late Carl E. Cosper, Pauline Lawrence of Gainesville and the late Eugene Lawrence.

She graduated in 2005 from Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She plans to graduate in May 2009 from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She is a member of Alpha Delta Chi sorority and is a youth leader for K-Life Ministries.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Thelma Jo Jones of Tom Bean, Texas, and William Moller of Farmers Branch, Texas.

He is a 2002 graduate of Pilot Point High School in Pilot Point, Texas. He graduated in 2007 from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in finance. He received a master's degree at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark., in family and youth ministry. He is employed as a youth minister with K-Life Ministries in Atlanta. He is a member of Theta Xi fraternity.

The couple plan to wed May 23, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
