Clayton and Diane Helton of Gillsville announce the engagement of their daughter Christina Diane Helton to Douglas Brandon Witherow, son of Douglas and Barbara Witherow of Flowery Branch.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nettie Helton of Blairsville, the late Homer Helton and Swayne and Shirley Whitlock of Gastonia.

She is a 2006 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She is employed at Lamb, Britt, Gilmer & Associates in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Dot Loggins of Flowery Branch, the late M. L. Loggins and Winston and Janice Brooks of Flowery Branch.

He attended East Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed at Gainesville Mechanical Inc., in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed May 9, 2009.
