Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Dean of Acworth announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Stephanie Ashley Dean to Mr. Zachrey Minish Fitzpatrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Fitzpatrick of Duluth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Minnie Duke, the late Mr. Luther Duke and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dean, all of Huntsville, Ala.

She is a 2003 graduate of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is pursuing a master's degree at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw in social work.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamrick of Gainesville, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fitzpatrick of Danielsville and the late Mrs. Nell Fitzpatrick.

He is a 2003 graduate of Duluth High School in Duluth. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in management. He is employed as a banking associate with Gwinnett Community Bank in Duluth.

The couple plan to wed June 20, 2009, at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church in Young Harris.
