UNG Orchestra concert
When: 8 p.m. today
Where: Hoag Student Center Auditorium, University of North Georgia Dahlonega campus, 82 College Circle, Dahlonega
Cost: $5 adults, $2 students, free for UNG students, faculty and staff with ID
Music from Mozart, Bartok and Brookshire will float through a handful of concert halls and venues as part of the University of North Georgia Orchestra’s concert series this week.
This will be the orchestra’s first tour, which begins with a performance at 8 p.m. today at the Hoag Student Center Auditorium on the UNG campus in Dahlonega.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students. UNG students, faculty and staff are free with an ID.
Other concerts will be:
* Nov. 22 at Pulaski County schools in Hawkinsville
* Nov. 22 at South Georgia State College in Douglas
* Nov. 23 at Old Opera House in Hawkinsville
* Nov. 24 at Griffin First United Methodist Church in Griffin.
The Hawkinsville concert costs $10 and the rest are free.
The program will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik,” Edvard Grieg’s “Holberg Suite,” Bela Bartok’s “Rumanian Folk Dances” and Cody Brookshire’s “Twilight Rhapsody.”
