The third annual Stocking Scurry 5-kilometer road race is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 24 in downtown Gainesville.

The start and finish will be at 311 Green St.

The annual run will benefit the Gainesville Jaycees Empty Stocking Fund, which helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of Hall County children.

The entry fee is $25. Runners can register on the day of the race, with check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Prizes will go to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, the top overall male and female runners and the top finisher in the masters (40-plus) and grand masters (50-plus) categories. T-shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered runners.
