After the gift-giving is over and children are already bored with their toys in a 24-hour period, SnowWorld at Lanier Islands offers some outdoor activities with a wintery feel.
Lanier Islands conjured up SnowWorld, which is a white and wintry flurry of fun. The family-style activities feature nine thrilling speed slides; the Polar Plummet — a 13-lane tube slide; four snow play zones; skating at the Polar Rink; and eight family friendly eateries and firepits throughout for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.
Formerly known as the Magical Nights of Lights, Lanier Islands Christmas is being held in conjunction with SnowWorld during the evening hours throughout the holiday season. The holiday light show offers a blended car ride and strolling illumination experience that winds through the resort.
In addition to dozens of fan-favorite animated light displays, Lanier Islands Christmas includes the Holiday Village with gift shopping, carnival rides and games, visits with Santa and live nativity on select nights.
Lanier Islands Christmas is open nightly through Dec. 31. SnowWorld is open on select weekdays and all weekends through March 1.
