Smithgall Woodland Legacy offers family fun this summer
Children's activities include storytelling, music, arts and crafts

The new Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville, A Smithgall Woodland Legacy is about more than just plants.

Throughout the summer, families may enjoy a number of children’s programs, ranging from storytelling to arts and crafts to musical performances.

Story Time and Smiles is set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. Children 5 and younger may participate in a weekly storytelling and small craft activities afterward. The cost is free with Garden admission.

Discovery Stations are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Children accompanied by an adult enjoy activities inspired by the new woodland gardens. It is free with Garden admission.

Drop-In Family Programs are set for the third Saturday of the month from June to August. Families with children participate in arts- and nature-themed interactive programs. Tickets are $6 per child plus Garden admission or $5 per Garden member child. No registration required.

Children’s performances will be at 11 a.m. the last Saturday of the month from June to August. A musical performances or engaging storyteller will entertain audiences. It is free with Gainesville garden admission.
