Singing songs in Sautee Nacoochee

The Sautee Nacoochee Community Chorale celebrates 25 years of performing with its annual holiday concerts all weekend long.

Concerts will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The palette of pieces will include a reprise of last year’s popular Nutcracker jingles, plus terrific arrangements of “Hevenu Shalom Aleichem,” “Somewhere in My Memory,” “In the Bleak Midwinter” and “Fa La La Fantasie.” Three pieces will be accompanied by the Nacoochee Presbyterian Handbell Choir and flutist Jenny Morden.

Tickets are $10 for members, $14 for nonmembers and 16 and younger are free.

Sautee Nacoochee hosts town party

Sautee Nacoochee community members may devour a variety of foods at the holiday potluck.

The meal will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the community hall with an ornament exchange following dinner.

Participants are asked to bring a covered dish and an ornament to share.

Christmas carols and a visit by Santa Claus will begin in the ball field at 6 p.m. followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree.
