A comedy with broad characters and improvised scenes will be performed by members of the Riverside Military Academy Fine Arts Department.
Set in 17th century Italy, “A Servant of Two Masters” is the story of a young servant named Truffaldino, who tries to make more money by working for two employers at the same time without their knowledge. In order for this to work, Truffaldino must constantly ensure both men are never in the same room. Of course, the two masters are searching for each other. Lots of confusion and mistaken identities ensue as Truffaldino lies and tricks each master into believing he only works for one of them.
“A Servant of Two Masters” will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19. All performances will be in the Cervantes Theatre for the Arts at 2001 Riverside Drive in Gainesville. Admission is free.
Starring in the play are: Brandon Oliveira as Truffaldino, Mia Davila as Beatrice, Hunter Miranda as Florindo, Patrick Sheffield as Pantalone, Jorge Hernandez as Doctore, Drake Roberts as Silvio, Taylor Cassell as Clarice, Marie Wasinger as Smeraldina, Demarko Hooper as Brighella, Jacob Showah as Waiter 1 and Bailey Nunnally as Waiter 2.
