Reece center reopens to visitors

The Byron Herbert Reece Farm and Heritage Center will reopen for public visitation on Thursday, April 4.

The center will remain open through November on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays. Group visitations on the other weekdays can be accommodated through prior arrangement.

The center is located some nine miles south of Blairsville on U.S. 129, approximately one mile north of Vogel State Park.

Improvements have been made in recent months, including new picnic tables for the pavilion, additional landscaping and enhancement of both agricultural and literary exhibits in the barns

A number of weddings and group events at the site are already scheduled for the coming months.
